Abstract: The invention relates to cybersecurity and cyber-physical access management, and discloses a system and method for adaptive access control using combined biometric identity verification and physiological context assessment. A body-worn physiological monitoring apparatus, optionally formed as a tension-adaptive strap with biopotential electrodes and piezoelectric sensing strips, continuously acquires a synchronized physiological data stream including cardiac electrical activity and thoracic mechanical movement. An access terminal captures a live biometric sample, and a fusion processor correlates the biometric and physiological inputs, verifies identity against biometric reference material in a secure database, extracts physiological features including heart rate variability, ECG morphology, respiratory rate, and thoracic excursion patterns, and classifies a physiological state vector indicative of baseline, stress, fatigue, or medical duress. A dynamic policy engine applies policy rules to the verified identity output and physiological state vector to assign graded authorization levels, including denial and alert generation during duress, thereby improving security and safety in protected cyber-physical environments.
