Abstract: The present invention relates to a system and method for position-adaptive pre-insertion mapping and predictive Haemo-tissue response-guided delivery of local anaesthetic on skin and intraoral mucosa. The device comprises a handpiece that can be used with Luer syringes or dental cartridges, a multi-modal sensor stack that has near-infrared imaging, photoplethysmography, bio-impedance spectroscopy, and elastotactile sensors, and the handpiece control (the controller) has a hardware- accelerated field-programmable gate array (FPGA) inference engine. When an anaesthetic procedure is performed with the device, the controller calculates a Haemo- Tissue Predictive Index (HTPI) and calculates and generates a Dynamic Safety Corridor (DSC) to direct safe needle advance, aspiration, and injection. The controller performs predictive retract prior to vascular breach, executes automatic aspiration, and drives vibro-analgesic feedback to enhance patient comfort. For clarity, a Haemo-Tissue Predictive Index (HTPI) denotes a fused risk score derived from optical, electrical, and mechanical tissue features, and a Dynamic Safety Corridor (DSC) denotes the computed safe entry trajectory and depth band updated in real time. The invention represents a technical advancement due to the predictive, adaptive, and hardware-controlled injection of anaesthetic solution in a compact, sterilizable device.
