The processor (201) detects one or more objects from the image frames and generates a spatial descriptor therefrom, generates a semantic scene description concurrently with, and independently of, the spatial descriptor, constructs a multimodal prompt by fusing the spatial descriptor and the semantic scene description, generates navigation guidance from the multimodal prompt, or from the spatial descriptor alone based on the semantic scene description being unavailable, and converts the navigation guidance into speech via the audio output transducer (207).
