Abstract: ABSTRACT A System and Method for Real-Time Computer Vision-Based Object Detection and Analysis The present disclosure is directed to a system and method for real-time computer vision-based object detection and analysis. A multimodal sensing assembly collects synchronized measurements from an imaging sensor and one or more of the auxiliary sensors. A processor produces a first object hypothesis and a spatial uncertainty map for the detection of an uncertain object region. In response, the processor selectively reconfigures sensing parameters such as exposure, focus, frame rate, spectral band, polarization, or depth-pulse timing and controls a coded illumination assembly to project an optical pattern towards the uncertain object region. Further synchronized observations are collected and analyzed by depth continuity, parallax, reflectance response, thermal persistence and motion-boundary correspondence. The physics-constrained validation module produces a validated object record and a trust score, and the occlusion-continuity module maintains object identity during temporary obscuration. The resource scheduler allocates sensing and computing resources based on uncertainty and risk. An object analysis module generates a control instruction for an apparatus.
