MUMBAI, India, July 24 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611064694 A) filed by Dr. Sanjeev Goswami on May 22, 2026, for A System And Method For Synthesizing And Characterizing Functional Polymer Blends.
Inventor includes Dr. Sanjeev Goswami.
The application for the patent was published on July 17, 2026, under issue no. 29/2026.
Abstract: The present invention relates to a system and method for synthesizing, characterizing, and applying polymer blends. The method includes selecting at least two polymeric materials based on desired functional properties, preparing the polymers in solution or melt phase, mixing the polymers in predetermined ratios, adding a compatibilizing or functionalizing agent, homogenizing the blend under controlled processing conditions, forming the blend into a film, membrane, coating, sheet, molded article, fiber, pellet, or composite structure, and solidifying the formed product. The polymer blend may further include nanoparticles, plasticizers, crosslinkers, antimicrobial agents, pH-sensitive indicators, conductive fillers, or bioactive compounds. The synthesized polymer blend is characterized using chemical, thermal, mechanical, morphological, and application-specific tests. The polymer blends exhibit improved strength, flexibility, thermal stability, chemical resistance, biodegradability, barrier performance, antimicrobial activity, and swelling control. The invention is useful in packaging, biomedical, agricultural, textile, coating, membrane, electrical insulation, and industrial applications. (Accompanied Figure No. 1-2)
