Abstract: A SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR TRACING FUND TRANSFERS The disclosure relates to a system configured to receive a fraud event associated with a transaction and to trace fund transfers across a plurality of accounts by constructing a transaction graph based on retrieved transaction data. The system processes the transaction graph to identify one or more downstream accounts associated with transferred funds and determines, for each identified account, an amount corresponding to traced funds. In response, the system generates and transmits one or more electronic lien instructions to restrict access to at least a portion of the determined amount within the identified accounts. The system further records processing steps and lien actions in an immutable audit log and supports conditional modification or release of restrictions based on validation or authorization conditions.
