Abstract: A computer-implemented system (100) and method for scheduling computational tasks in a cloud-fog environment are disclosed. A task request manager (110) receives a task and its requirement, and a resource monitoring module (120) collects resource metrics from a plurality of fog and cloud nodes. A trust evaluation engine (130) computes a trust score for each node from factors such as success rate, reliability, availability, failure rate and security. A multi-objective optimization engine (140) selects a node by jointly considering the trust score together with load, energy consumption, execution cost and response time, and a task scheduler (150) allocates the task, latency-sensitive tasks being directed to fog nodes (160) and compute-intensive tasks to cloud nodes (170). A feedback learning module (180) updates the trust score from execution results for subsequent scheduling, providing reliable, energy-efficient, low-cost and low-latency task execution.
