MUMBAI, India, Oct. 12 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641119204 A) filed by Sr University on October 05, 2026, for A System For An Adaptive Risk Balancing In Prostate Cancer Prediction.
Inventors include Avijit Kumar Chaudhuri; Dr. Sandip Bhattacharya; Ranjan Banerjee; Dr. Suman; Dr. Daizy Deb; and Dr Payel Sengupta.
The application for the patent was published on October 09, 2026, under issue no. 41/2026.
Abstract: Disclosed herein is a system (100) for an adaptive risk balancing in prostate cancer prediction that comprises Input Unit (102), a Processing Unit (104), a Storage Unit (122), a Communication Unit (124), and an Output Unit (126). The Processing Unit (104) comprises a Pre-processing Module (106), an Analysis Module (108), a Data Generation Module (110), an Evaluation Module (112), a Model Training Module (114), an Optimization Module (116), a Prediction Module (118), and a Reporting Module (120). The system processes patient-related data, identifies an underrepresented diagnostic class, generates and evaluates synthetic data, trains a prediction model using original and retained synthetic data, and determines an adaptive prediction threshold based on validation predictions. The adaptive prediction threshold is applied to a patient prediction score to determine a prostate cancer risk classification and generate a corresponding prediction report.
