MUMBAI, India, Aug. 10 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202621073364 A) filed by Ramdeobaba University, Nagpur; Shri Ramdeobaba College Of Engineering And Management, Nagpur; and Rewatkar, Rasika on June 12, 2026, for A System For Assisting A Visually Impaired User In Operating A Computing Device.
Inventor includes Rewatkar, Rasika.
The application for the patent was published on July 31, 2026, under issue no. 31/2026.
Abstract: A system (200) for assisting a visually impaired user in operating a computing device is disclosed. The system (200) includes a smart keyboard (110) having pressure- sensitive tactile keys (111), tactile markings (112), and a keyboard interface circuit (113) for generating key input signals including pressure and duration information. The system (200) further includes a smart mouse (120) having motion sensors (121), tactile mouse buttons (122), click sensors, and at least one haptic actuator (123) for generating vibration feedback. A central processing unit (130) having a microcontroller and memory receives keyboard and mouse input signals. An adaptive learning and error correction module (140) analyses physical input behaviour and adjusts input sensitivity parameters based on stored user behaviour data. A feedback output module (150) including an audio output unit (151) and a haptic feedback unit (152) provides real-time audio and haptic confirmation, warning, validation, or correction of keyboard and mouse inputs.
