Abstract: ABSTRACT A System for Context-Aware Threat Detection in Cyber-Physical Systems and Method thereof The present invention relates to a system for context-aware threat detection in cyber-physical systems and method thereof. The system acquires multivariate measurement data from one or more cyber-physical systems and processes the acquired data using a context-aware threat modelling module configured to determine a structural criticality index, a detection confidence index, and an operational contingency index for generating a unified contextual threat score. A hybrid anomaly detection module employs heterogeneous anomaly detection techniques to generate anomaly scores corresponding to monitored measurement locations. An adaptive hybrid fusion module performs context-weighted score-level fusion and risk-aware decision-level fusion by integrating the anomaly scores with the unified contextual threat score to generate a fused threat score and a binary attack decision. The disclosed system is capable of detecting additive, scaling, and near-stealth False Data Injection Attacks in topology-rich as well as topology-limited cyber-physical systems using explicit structural information or derived contextual proxy features. The invention improves detection stability, reduces false alarm generation, enhances resilience against sophisticated cyber threats, and provides adaptive, context-aware protection for critical cyber-physical infrastructures.
