MUMBAI, India, Oct. 12 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641119375 A) filed by Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan College Of Engineering on October 06, 2026, for A System For Dynamic Covalent Supramolecular Green Concrete With Recyclable Binding.

Inventors include Dr Kiruthika J; Mr Anirudhan R; Mr Muhammed Anfas Harris; Mr Shijas K F; Mr Nandhakishor K A; and Mr Sreehari K.

The application for the patent was published on October 09, 2026, under issue no. 41/2026.

Abstract: The present invention discloses a dynamic covalent supramolecular network-based sustainable green concrete system comprising a concrete matrix subsystem, dynamic covalent binding subsystem, supramolecular reinforcement subsystem, healing subsystem, recycling subsystem, and performance monitoring subsystem. Reversible chemical bonds are established throughout the concrete matrix using dynamic covalent network structures capable of controlled bond dissociation and reformation. Supramolecular reinforcement interactions improve structural cohesion, mechanical strength, and crack resistance. A healing subsystem autonomously restores structural continuity by re-establishing reversible bonding interactions within damaged regions. A recycling subsystem enables recovery and regeneration of material constituents through controlled reversal of bonding mechanisms, thereby supporting circular economy principles and sustainable construction practices. The invention reduces dependence on conventional cement materials, lowers environmental impact, improves durability, enhances recyclability, extends infrastructure service life, and provides an environmentally responsible construction material with self-healing and material recovery capabilities.
