MUMBAI, India, July 30 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202621067521 A) filed by Swati Bhavesh Sheth; and Bhavesh Sheth on May 29, 2026, for A System For Interoperable Biometric Identity Verification Using Secure Distributed Register And Adaptive Authentication Framework.

Inventors include Swati Bhavesh Sheth; and Bhavesh Sheth.

The application for the patent was published on July 24, 2026, under issue no. 30/2026.

Abstract: ABSTRACT A SYSTEM FOR INTEROPERABLE BIOMETRIC IDENTITY VERIFICATION USING SECURE DISTRIBUTED REGISTER AND ADAPTIVE AUTHENTICATION FRAMEWORK A system (100) and a computer-implemented method (200) for interoperable identity verification are disclosed. The system (100) comprises at least one biometric acquisition device (102) configured to capture biometric data, a first processing circuitry (104) configured to generate an encrypted identity data structure (110) by combining the biometric data with structured identity attributes (112), a data integrity layer (106) configured to generate and store a hash of the encrypted identity data structure (110), a register repository (108) configured to store the encrypted identity data structure (110) indexed by a unique identity token, and a second processing circuitry (114) configured to authenticate an entity by comparing received biometric input with stored data and generating an authentication output. The method (200) comprises capturing (202), generating (204), hashing (206), storing (208), receiving (210), comparing (212), and generating (214) steps, wherein authentication includes adaptive multi-factor authentication based on contextual risk evaluation (116), thereby enabling secure and interoperable identity verification across multiple platforms.
