Abstract: The present invention discloses a system (100) for locking a rotating shaft (110a), comprising: a member (110b) having a disc-shaped structure (110c) enclosing the rotating shaft (110a), a horizontal locking assembly (115a) housed within the disc-shaped structure (110c) of the member (110b); a shaft bracket (120) enclosing projection of the member (110b); and a vertical locking assembly (115b) mounted on a peripheral surface of the shaft bracket (120). The vertical locking assembly (115b) having a lock slider (150) with a tapered slot cavity (152) for communicating with the pusher pin (145) or flushing the pusher pin (145) inwardly away from the tapered slot cavity (152) on rotation of the lock slider (150) for bi-directional positive locking/unlocking of the rotating shaft (110a) relative to a locking plane (Y-Y) of the shaft bracket (120).
