Abstract: TITLE: A System for Price Based Electric Vehicle Charging and Grid Management The present invention discloses a system (100) for price-based electric vehicle (EV) charging and grid management. As illustrated in Figure 1, the system (100) comprises a real-time price updating module (110), a cloud server (120), an IoT communication network (130), a battery management system (140), an adaptive droop controller (150), a bidirectional power converter (160), an electric vehicle battery (170), and an electrical grid (180). The adaptive droop controller (150) determines charging and discharging currents based on real-time electricity prices, battery State of Charge (SoC), State of Health (SoH), and grid frequency to enable bidirectional energy transfer while minimizing battery degradation. An Internet-of-Things (IoT) and cloud-based infrastructure facilitates real-time communication, monitoring, and control. In one exemplary implementation, hardware validation using a NodeMCU ESP32-based controller, cloud-connected monitoring platform, and grid frequency sensing demonstrates practical implementation of the proposed adaptive control strategy for efficient energy management and improved grid stability.
