Abstract: The present invention relates to a system for real-time multilingual speech-to-speech translation. The system comprises an audio acquisition module, a pre-processing module, a multilingual speech recognition module, a language detection and code-switching module, a contextual translation engine, a domain adaptation module, a latency control module, and a speech synthesis module. The system receives live speech input in a source language, removes noise and acoustic disturbances, detects one or more spoken languages including mixed-language expressions, converts the speech into recognized speech data, translates the recognized content into a target language using conversational context and domain-specific terminology, and generates audible translated speech output with reduced latency. The system may preserve speaker intent, tone, named entities, and semantic continuity during translation. The invention is suitable for real-time multilingual communication in healthcare, legal, education, travel, business, public service, conferencing, and emergency environments while supporting edge, cloud, or hybrid deployment with privacy control.
