MUMBAI, India, July 13 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202541001787 A) filed by Texmo Industries on January 08, 2025, for A System For Reconditioning Foundry Green Sand And Method Thereof.
Inventors include N. Kaarthic; and K. Mahendhiran.
The application for the patent was published on July 10, 2026, under issue no. 28/2026.
Abstract: The present invention discloses a method 100 for reconditioning used green sand, including the steps of removing undesired particles from used green sand by passing through a material separator 110 and subjecting the used green sand to one or more subsequent attrition cycles in one or more processing chambers 120a-n. The processing chamber 120a-n includes one or more rotary members 124a-n, each having a plurality of vanes 126a-n. The one or more attrition cycles include mixing used green sand with water in a predetermined ratio to obtain a spent sand slurry and subjecting spent sand slurry to at least one preliminary attrition cycle. The at least one preliminary attrition cycle includes the steps of agitating the spent sand slurry in the at least one processing chamber 120 to obtain partially attritioned sand grains, separating the partially attritioned sand grains from the water, drying and cooling the separated sand grains to obtain reconditioned green sand. Also disclosed is a system for reconditioning used green sand. Fig. 1 & Fig. 2
