Abstract: ABSTRACT A SYSTEM TO DETECT DROWSINESS BY WEARABLE EARBUDS (SLEEP GUARD) The present invention discloses a smart wearable earbud system designed for real-time detection of user drowsiness to prevent accidents arising from fatigue. The system comprises a physiological sensing module embedded within the earbuds, configured to monitor heart rate variability (HRV), electroencephalogram (EEG), and electrooculogram (EOG) signals. These physiological indicators are continuously collected and analysed by an integrated data processing unit to identify patterns associated with drowsiness. A machine learning engine is employed to personalize drowsiness detection by adapting to user-specific physiological traits over time. Upon detection of fatigue or sleep onset, the system activates a warning module to deliver immediate feedback to the user via auditory cues or vibrations. Furthermore, the system includes a wireless communication interface to connect with external devices such as vehicles or mobile applications, thereby enabling remote visualization, logging, or automation of safety responses. The invention offers a non-intrusive, intelligent, and highly adaptable approach to fatigue management, particularly applicable to high-risk environments like driving, industrial operations, and healthcare.
