MUMBAI, India, Aug. 10 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411104361 A) filed by Mercedes-Benz Group AG on December 30, 2024, for A System To Safeguard A Light Carpet Projection Unit Of A Vehicle.

Abstract: A system (100) to safeguard a light carpet projection unit (200) includes a flap (102) configured to move between a closed position, in which the flap (102) covers an opening (204) through which the light carpet projection unit (200) projects light on a ground surface, and an open position in which the opening (204) is uncovered to allow the light to pass there-through. The flap (102) is operably coupled to a door that corresponds to the light carpet projection unit (200) such that the flap (102) moves between the closed position and the open position based on opening and closing of the door.
