The application for the patent was published on August 07, 2026, under issue no. 32/2026.
Abstract: The present invention relates to a tandem-wing UAV comprising a forward/front wing (301) and a rear wing (302) arranged longitudinally and configured to collectively generate lift. It is characterized by distributing aerodynamic loads across multiple lifting surfaces to reduce structural stress associated with conventional single-wing UAVs. The wings are configured with an airfoil profile to achieve efficient lift generation. The tandem-wing configuration increases the effective surface area available for integration of energy-generating elements, thereby enhancing onboard energy generation capability. The invention further accounts for aerodynamic interaction between the wings, wherein downwash from the forward wing (301) influences the rear wing (302), resulting in a marginal increase in drag while maintaining comparable lift characteristics. The UAV further comprises an energy generation and storage system, a propulsion system, and an avionics & control system configured to enable sustained and autonomous operation. The combined structural and aerodynamic arrangement results in improved endurance and overall system efficiency.
