Abstract: ABSTRACT A TELESCOPIC ARRANGEMENT FOR ADJUSTING IMPELLER CLEARANCE OF A PUMP AND A METHOD THEREOF The present disclosure relates to a telescopic arrangement (80) for adjusting an impeller clearance (C) in a mixed-flow type pump (100). The pump includes a pump casing (40) having a first aperture, a suction cover (10) attached to the pump casing (40) and having a complementary second aperture, and an impeller (20). The telescopic arrangement (80) includes a jacking spacer (50) received through the second aperture and configured to abut both the pump casing (40) and the suction cover (10), a stud (70) extending through the jacking spacer (50) and threadably secured in the first aperture, and a locking nut (60) mounted on the stud (70). Loosening the locking nut (60) enables rotation of the jacking spacer (50), which travels axially along the stud (70) to displace the suction cover (10) relative to the impeller (20). This facilitates the precise setting of a predetermined impeller clearance (C) without dismantling the pump.
