MUMBAI, India, July 24 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611056496 A) filed by Graphic Era Deemed To Be University on May 04, 2026, for A Thermal Reflective Coating Composition And A Controlled Dual-Shear Mixing Method And System For Manufacturing The Same.
Inventor includes Man Vir Singh.
The application for the patent was published on July 17, 2026, under issue no. 29/2026.
Abstract: The present invention relates to a thermal reflective coating composition comprising a continuous acrylic binder matrix, high- reflectivity titanium dioxide pigment particles (1–10 µm), and hollow insulating microspheres (10–100 µm) dispersed via a dual-shear mixing process to achieve a viscosity of 90–110 KU for spray or roller application. In the method, demineralized water and dispersant are mixed in the primary mixing tank with an anchor agitator, titanium dioxide is de-agglomerated by a high-speed disperser unit, acrylic binder is introduced via the binder addition port, and hollow microspheres are gently incorporated in the low-shear mixing tank. Functional additives are metered through a dosing module, the slurry is filtered and stored under agitation, yielding a cured film with 0.10 W/m·K thermal conductivity and 120–180 µm thickness.
