MUMBAI, India, Aug. 12 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611078836 A) filed by Swami Vivekanand College Of Pharmacy on June 26, 2026, for A Threshold-Triggered Multi-Stage Solvent Recovery System And Method Thereof.

Inventors include Mr. Anshu Gupta; Dr. Sunidhi Chauhan; Ms. Aditi Sharma; Ms. Bhawna Kalsi; and Mr. Shabir Ahmad Dar.

The application for the patent was published on August 07, 2026, under issue no. 32/2026.

Abstract: Disclosed system (100) comprises an inlet (102) configured to receive a mixed waste solvent stream and a composition sensing unit (104) configured to detect composition parameters of the mixed waste solvent stream. The system (100) further comprises a threshold evaluation unit (106) configured to compare composition parameters with predefined threshold bands and generate a classification signal. The system (100) further comprises a plurality of recovery modules (108) configured to recover at least one solvent fraction and generate a residual solvent stream. The system (100) further comprises a flow diversion unit (116) configured to direct the mixed waste solvent stream to the selected recovery module, an isolation manifold (118) configured to prevent fluid communication between non-selected recovery modules, a recirculation channel (120) configured to return the residual solvent stream for subsequent composition analysis, and a discharge outlet (122) configured to discharge the residual solvent stream upon satisfaction of a termination criterion.
