MUMBAI, India, July 30 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202521103400 A) filed by Mercure Metals & Alloys Private Limited on October 27, 2025, for A Tin-Based Copper Alloy Tube Composition For A Heat Exchanger And A Method Thereof.

Inventor includes Mahendra Kanakraj Mehta.

The application for the patent was published on July 24, 2026, under issue no. 30/2026.

Abstract: A tin-based copper alloy tube composition for a heat exchanger is disclosed. The tin-based copper alloy tube composition (100) includes 99.50 percentage by weight of copper (110), 0.30 - 0.55 percentage by weight of tin (120), 0.00 - 0.05 percentage by weight of iron (130), 0.01- 0.035 percentage by weight of phosphorus (140), and 0.00 - 0.005 percentage by weight of antimony (150). In operation, melting the copper in a furnace unit at a predefined temperature to obtain a molten copper matrix. Adding tin, phosphorus, iron and antimony to the molten copper matrix in a predetermined quantity and stirring a mixture to obtain a homogeneous alloy. The homogeneous alloy is subjected to deoxidation and slag removal to eliminate a plurality of traces and casting into a predetermined solid form. The predetermined solid form is subjected to milling, rolling, cascade processing, and spinning operations to obtain a desired dimension. FIG. 1
