MUMBAI, India, Aug. 12 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611076339 A) filed by Harmeet Singh Issar; and Nivedita Sehrawat on June 19, 2026, for A Tlq Protection Module For Temporal Light Quality Protection In Led Luminaires And Method Thereof.
Inventors include Harmeet Singh Issar; and Nivedita Sehrawat.
The application for the patent was published on August 07, 2026, under issue no. 32/2026.
Abstract: A TLQ Protection Module (106) for Temporal Light Quality (TLQ) protection in an LED luminaire (100), configured to be positioned inline in a Direct Current (DC) current path between the LED driver (104) and an LED engine (108), comprises a current sensing (202) stage generating a voltage signal V_SENSE (250), a frequency- weighted evaluation (204) stage having a broadband first channel (206) and a low-frequency second channel (208) evaluated against threshold references (210), and an OR Logic (212) element generating a breach signal upon threshold exceedance. An autonomous protection response (214) stage reduces current to a Safe Operating Level (SOL) (602) upon breach, continuously re-assesses current quality, and operates in a normal operation (400) state, a distress hold (408) state, or a fault (412) state. The TLQ Protection Module (106) operates without electrical communication with or modification to the connected LED driver (104). [Figure 1]
