Abstract: ABSTRACT A TOPICAL PHARMACEUTICAL COMPOSITION AND RELATED METHODS FOR MANAGEMENT OF PREMENSTRUAL SYNDROME The present invention discloses a pharmaceutical composition for managing premenstrual syndrome comprising Ricinus communis Linn. and Sesamum indicum Linn., along with pharmaceutically acceptable excipients. The composition comprises Ricinus communis Linn. in powdered forms selected from coarse powder and fine powder, present in defined quantities, and Sesamum indicum Linn. in the form of oil, present in a specified volumetric range. The formulation further includes pharmaceutically acceptable excipients such as solvents, preferably water, to facilitate extraction, processing, and uniformity of the composition. The composition is prepared through a controlled thermal processing method involving decoction of coarse Ricinus communis Linn. powder, paste formation with fine powder, and subsequent blending with Sesamum indicum Linn. oil, followed by gradual heating to evaporate aqueous content and obtain a stable oil-based product. The composition is designed to provide therapeutic support in the management of premenstrual syndrome by alleviating symptoms including pain, bloating, irritability, and mood swings.
