MUMBAI, India, July 7 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511134624 A) filed by Dr. B R Ambedkar National Institute Of Technology Jalandhar on December 31, 2025, for A Universal Spring-Loaded Telescopic Lifting Device For Heavy Loads And Method Of Operation.

Inventors include Dr. Parnika Shrivastava; Dr. Nitesh Kashyap; and Amit Kumar.

The application for the patent was published on July 03, 2026, under issue no. 27/2026.

Abstract: The present invention proposes a lifting device (100) that utilizes stored elastic potential energy for the rapid and efficient vertical lifting of heavy loads, and is particularly suited for rural and industrial applications without reliance on hydraulic fluids or external electrical power. The lifting device (100) comprises a platform (102), plurality of tubular sections (110A, 110B, and 110C), a saddle (112), and a linear retraction drive assembly (120). The lifting device (100) ensures user safety through an integrated locking mechanism adapted to automatically secure each telescopic stage during extension, thereby preventing accidental retraction or load slippage under operational conditions. The lifting device (100) includes a rack-and-pinion lowering mechanism to facilitate smooth, precise, and controlled retraction of the telescopic tubes during load descent.
