Abstract: The current invention relates to a vacuum-based grinding machine that produces ultrafine mica and mineral particles with efficient purity. The machine consists of a sealed grinding chamber coupled to a vacuum generating system, a high-speed cutting and impact grinding mechanism, a controlled material feeding unit, and a vacuum-assisted particle collection system. The use of a vacuum during the grinding process reduces air resistance, heat generation, oxidation, and moisture interaction, allowing for efficient size reduction of layered and brittle mineral materials to ultrafine and submicron equal size particles. The vacuum atmosphere reduces particle agglomeration and contamination while increasing grinding efficiency and particle size distribution homogeneity. In comparison to current air grinding systems, the innovation reduces energy consumption, improves product purity, cost effective, and betters reliability in operation. The described machine is especially helpful for industrial-scale manufacturing of ultrafine mica and mineral powders used in electrical insulation, coatings, polymers, cosmetics, and advanced composite materials.
