Abstract: The present invention relates to a validated liquid chromatographic method for quantitative estimation of Ritonavir in pharmaceutical dosage forms. The method employs a phosphate buffer comprising 2.7 g/L monobasic potassium phosphate and 0.9 g/L dibasic potassium phosphate adjusted to pH 6.0 with phosphoric acid. Chromatographic separation is achieved using a C18 column and a mobile phase comprising acetonitrile and phosphate buffer in the ratio of 9:11 (v/v). Detection is carried out at 215 nm using a UV detector. The method demonstrates acceptable specificity, linearity, precision, accuracy, and robustness in accordance with ICH validation guidelines. The developed method is suitable for routine quality control and quantitative analysis of Ritonavir in pharmaceutical dosage forms.
