A vehicle controller (104) associated with the vehicle (102) logs identity information corresponding to a user attempting to start a vehicle (102) on a vehicle-controlling platform (106); determines whether the user corresponds to a primary user (108) or a secondary user (112(1)); receives an override command to override a restricted operating mode of the vehicle (102) in response to a selection of an override option, via the vehicle- controlling platform (106), by the secondary user (112(1)) upon determining that the user corresponds to the secondary user (112(1)); generates and transmits via a communication mode (118), an override request to a primary user device (110) of the primary user (108); and deactivates the restricted operating mode of the vehicle (102), in response to receiving an approval command for the override request from the primary user device (110).
