Abstract: ABSTRACT A VEHICLE-MOUNTED RADAR SYSTEM FOR ADAPTIVE OPTIMIZATION OF ANTENNA RADIATION PATTERNS AND A METHOD THEREOF The present disclosure relates to a vehicle-mounted radar system (100) for adaptive optimization of antenna radiation patterns based on real-time vehicle dynamics. The system comprises a radar antenna (110), a set of sensors (120) including a yaw rate sensor (120a) and a steering angle sensor (120b), a speed sensor (130), and a processor (140). The processor (140) dynamically adjusts beam width (BW), beam length (BL), and beam steering angle based on vehicle speed and lateral acceleration. It performs beam steering in high-speed scenarios, filters non-relevant objects based on predefined criteria, and adapts the density of the radar point cloud to optimize obstacle detection. Additionally, the system optimizes power consumption by dynamically controlling transmission power. The radar antenna (110) can also modulate transmission frequencies to enhance detection accuracy under varied atmospheric conditions. The system ensures real-time adaptation to driving conditions, improving detection accuracy, efficiency, and computational performance for autonomous and assisted driving applications.
