The application for the patent was published on October 30, 2026, under issue no. 44/2026.

Abstract: A vibration control floor system (100) for a storey of a building includes a movable floor (102), a plurality of rollers (104), and an impact boundary (106). The movable floor (102) includes a plurality of floor tiles overlying structural floor slab (202), each floor tile having an upper wearing surface and one or more depressions on an underside. The rollers (104) are received in depressions and support the movable floor (102) for horizontal movement relative to structural floor slab (202). The impact boundary (106) is rigidly connected to primary structural frame (200) and circumferentially surrounds the movable floor (102) with horizontal clearance (g). The movable floor (102) is free from elastic or damping connections to the primary structural frame (200). Upon horizontal excitation, the movable floor (102) moves relative to the structural floor slab (202), closes the clearance, and undergoes successive impacts with impact boundary (106), thereby dissipating vibrational energy.
