Inventors include Deepak Kumar; and Pallavi Saha.
The application for the patent was published on October 30, 2026, under issue no. 44/2026.
Abstract: The present invention relates to a visible-light mediated method of synthesis of an imidazopyridine derivative. The present invention provides a comprehensive methodology for synthesizing imidazo[1,5-a]pyridine derivative (3) by reacting benzyl alcohol (1) with pyridin-2-ylmethanamine (2) in the presence of potassium persulfate under blue LED irradiation that eliminates the the need of harmful and toxic acids or catalysts involved in the conventional method of synthesizing imidazopyridines.
