Abstract: A VOTING SYSTEM FOR CONDUCTING A COMPETITIVE SELECTION PROCESS ABSTRACT A voting system (100) for conducting a competitive selection process is disclosed. The system (100) comprises a processor (202) and a memory (204) storing executable instructions that cause the processor to receive a vote event associated with a voter and a nominee, obtain and validate a geographic location against predefined district boundaries, and authenticate the voter using a voter authentication mechanism enforcing a single-vote constraint. The system (100) further computes an anomaly score using a fraud detection subsystem based on behavioural and network-related parameters, determines whether the anomaly score satisfies predefined thresholds, retrieves a district weight corresponding to a validated district, and generates a weighted vote record. The weighted vote record, geo-verification result, and vote status are committed to a cryptographic audit ledger through an atomic transaction. Weighted district results are aggregated to determine an outcome of the competitive selection process, thereby providing a secure, auditable, and geographically verified voting framework.
