Abstract: ABSTRACT A WEAR RING ASSEMBLY FOR A PUMP The present disclosure envisages a wear ring assembly (18) for a pump (100). The pump (100) includes an upper casing half (10) and a lower casing half (12) that enclose an impeller (14) configured to rotate with a pump shaft. The assembly (18) comprises a first and a second wear ring (15A, 15B), each defined by a semi-circular shaped structure. The first and second wear ring are positioned within both the upper casing half (10) and the lower casing half (12) such that they jointly form an annular wear ring extending around the impeller (14). Separation of the upper casing half (10) from the lower casing half (12) exposes the first and second wear rings and enables at least partial removal thereof. This configuration allows servicing or replacement of the wear ring assembly (18) without removing the impeller (14) or disconnecting the pump (100) from a prime mover.
