Abstract: ABSTRACT The invention discloses a wearable emergency alert device (100) comprising a housing (101) having a decorative gemstone (102), a concealed trigger mechanism (103), a tamper detection sensor (104), a microcontroller unit (105), a rechargeable battery (106), a wireless charging interface (107), a location module (108), at least one sensor (109). The concealed trigger mechanism (103) recognizes a predetermined covert input beneath the decorative gemstone (102), while tampering with the decorative gemstone (102) initiates an emergency alert. Upon validation of a trigger event, the microcontroller unit (105) generates an emergency alert packet comprising location information and transmits the packet through a terrestrial communication link without requiring a paired external communication device. Upon a communication escalation condition, including failure of terrestrial communication or absence of an application-level acknowledgment, the microcontroller unit (105) automatically activates a non-terrestrial communication link for transmission of at least a portion of the emergency alert packet.
