Abstract: The present invention discloses a wearable multimodal closed-loop biofeedback system for real-time regulation of stress-associated physiological arousal. The system includes a wearable housing, at least two physiological sensors, a motion-sensing unit, a sensor- contact assessment unit, a processing unit, a memory, a physiological state estimation engine, a feedback-response verification engine and at least one skin-coupled sensory feedback actuator. The processing unit generates signal-quality values according to movement and sensor-contact information, rejects or reduces unreliable physiological signals, and compares accepted signals with a personalised physiological baseline. A confidence-weighted physiological state value is generated and used to select haptic, thermal, pressure, acoustic or visual feedback. Physiological parameters acquired before, during and after the feedback are compared to determine a response-effectiveness value. When the response is insufficient, at least one feedback parameter is dynamically modified. The system thereby provides personalised, artefact-resistant and locally executable closed-loop biofeedback without requiring continuous external connectivity. Accompanied Drawing [FIGS. 1-2]
