Abstract: ABSTRACT The present invention relates to an AI-based wearable neuromuscular assessment system for early functional evaluation of muscular dystrophy. The system comprises a sensing module having a plurality of surface electromyography (sEMG) electrodes and a grip force sensing unit configured to simultaneously acquire electrical muscle activity and mechanical grip force signals from a user. A signal conditioning module amplifies and filters the acquired signals, while a processing module synchronizes the signals and extracts neuromuscular parameters including root mean square (RMS) EMG, maximum voluntary contraction (MVC), peak grip force, muscle activation timing, grip relaxation time, and force decay rate. An artificial intelligence (AI) module analyzes the extracted features using machine learning algorithms to classify neuromuscular conditions and identify muscular dystrophy-related abnormalities. The system provides a portable, low-cost, non-invasive, and real-time solution for functional screening, disease progression monitoring, and objective assessment of muscle weakness in clinical, rehabilitation, and remote healthcare environments.
