Abstract: The present invention provides a communication device and system for two-way sign language recognition that translates Indian Sign Language (ISL) into spoken English or Hindi, and vice versa. The present device is equipped with an MPU6050 accelerometer and gyroscope, combined with an ESP8266 microcontroller, the wearable device captures and processes sign language gestures. The present device and system is also integrated with an AI model, trained on extensive ISL data, is deployed on the device to classify signs in real time. This present device converts signs into textual and spoken language for hearing, while sign language users receive spoken responses as visual signs. The present invention provides a seamless communication flow between sign language users and non-signers, democratizing conversation and empowering deaf and mute individuals with a voice in interactions.
