Abstract: ABSTRACT TITLE: A WELL STIRRED RECUPERATIVE REVERSE FLOW CONFIGURATION HYDROGEN COMBUSTION SYSTEM. This invention relates to a recuperative reverse flow configuration hydrogen combustion systemfor pure hydrogen combustion. The combustor incorporates dual annulus shells, where inner shell enables recuperative preheating of incoming air through annular passage. The outlet is arranged opposite to the fuel air flow direction, promoting recirculation of combustion products within the chamber. This internal heat recirculation enhances flame stabilization and enables effective emission control through distributed air fuel combustion. Experimental evaluation over equivalence ratios from 0.4 to 1.0and varying thermal input of 20 kW to 50 kW demonstrates significantly lower NOx emissions compared to conventional combustors, offering improved efficiency for hydrogen combustion applications.
