MUMBAI, India, June 24 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411094864 A) filed by Duggal Vijay on December 02, 2024, for A Wind-Resistant And Rainwater Harvesting Photovoltaic System.
Inventor includes Duggal Vijay.
The application for the patent was published on June 12, 2026, under issue no. 24/2026.
Abstract: The present invention relates to cost-effective, efficient, clean energy-generation, wind-resistant, and rainwater harvesting photovoltaic systems. The wind-resistant photovoltaic systems of the present invention are configured: to enable stormwater or rainwater management while generating clean energy, to prevent electrocution and vandalism risks, to prevent structural penetration of roofing membranes, and to enable efficient manufacturing and installation of solar panels. The disclosed photovoltaic systems are equipped to provide: atmospheric pressure equalization and natural ventilation to enclosed photovoltaic modules, to house and protect electric switchgear of said solar panels to provide environment protection and to prevent electrocution and vandalism risks, to transmit electricity produced by said solar panels, and to block at least a portion of winds from directly hitting underside of said solar panels for reducing wind loads on said solar panels and structural frames present in said system. Disclosed conjurations of said photovoltaic system meet the requirements of ASCE 7-16 standards.
