Abstract: Provided is an absorbent article (1) comprising an absorption layer (21) that contains a superabsorbent polymer (SAP), and a core wrap sheet (25) disposed on one thickness-direction side of the absorption layer (21). A strip-form adhesive is provided to the other-side surface on the other thickness-direction side of the core wrap sheet (25). The average width of the strip-form adhesive is less than the average particle diameter of the superabsorbent polymer (SAP). The number of intersection points of the adhesive per unit area in outer regions (OR) is less than the number of intersection points of the adhesive per unit area in an inner region (IR), where the outer regions (OR) are regions on the other-side surface of the core wrap sheet (25) that are positioned outside the outermost edges (21e) of the absorption layer (21) with respect to the width direction, and the inner region (IR) is a region positioned further inward than the outer edges (21e).
