The application for the patent was published on October 30, 2026, under issue no. 44/2026.

Abstract: The present invention proposes an acoustic-vibration-based system for early screening of concealed agricultural pest activity. The system comprises one or more vibration-sensitive sensors mechanically coupled to a selected plant region, a signal-conditioning circuit, an analog-to-digital conversion unit, and an embedded processing unit. Mechanical vibrations potentially generated by concealed insect feeding and movement are acquired and converted into electrical signals. The signals are conditioned, digitized, and processed using noise filtering, candidate-event detection, and time-domain and frequency-domain feature extraction. The extracted features are evaluated using a configured detection model to identify patterns potentially associated with pest activity. Repeated-event analysis may be used to assess candidate events over a predefined observation interval. An optional multi-sensor arrangement may compare signals from different plant locations to estimate a coarse region of suspected activity. The system may generate local or wireless alerts and store event information for further analysis. The proposed invention aims to provide a non-destructive monitoring approach that supports early identification of possible concealed agricultural pest activity before significant visible crop damage occurs. Its detection performance requires validation for the intended crop and pest species.
