MUMBAI, India, Aug. 12 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202647094296 A) filed by Qualcomm Incorporated on August 04, 2026, for Activation Or Deactivation Of Measurement Gap Occasions Based On Downlink Control Information Configuration.
Inventors include Maamari, Diana; Mondet, Mickael; Lee, Hyun Yong; Xu, Huilin; Hande, Prashanth Haridas; Kadiri, Prasad Reddy; and Zhou, Zhichao.
The application for the patent was published on August 07, 2026, under issue no. 32/2026.
Abstract: Systems and techniques are provided for wireless communications. For example, a network device can receive first information indicative of a configuration for a measurement event associated with a serving cell of a network device, wherein the measurement event is associated with a configured threshold. Second information can be received, indicative of a configuration to monitor a configured search space set (SSS) associated with downlink control information (DCI) indicative of an activation or deactivation of a measurement gap occasion associated with one or more inter-frequency measurements of a neighboring cell of the network device. One or more measurements of the serving cell and the configuration for the measurement event can be used to determine an occurrence of the measurement event, and the network device can monitor the configured SSS for the DCI based on the occurrence of the measurement event.
