MUMBAI, India, June 24 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411094246 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges on November 30, 2024, for Adaptable Ankle Rehabilitation Device.

Abstract: An adaptable ankle rehabilitation device comprises of a double layered L-shaped wearable component 101 developed to be worn by a user on the user’s ankle, extendable metallic strips 102 for allowing required fitting of the component 101, communication module for establishing wireless connection between the microcontroller or user’s computing unit, motorized hinge joint 103 to provide angular movement to portions of the component 101, angle sensor for monitoring angle of the component 101 with respect to fixed surface, multiple Peltier unit for providing required hot or cold fomentation on the user’s ankle, thermostat integrated in the component 101 for monitoring temperature in component 101, electronically controlled valve integrated in component 101 to dispense pain relieving ointment stored in container 104 and battery for supplying power to all electronic components of device.
