MUMBAI, India, June 24 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411094248 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges on November 30, 2024, for Adaptable Foot Comforting Device For Footwear.

Abstract: An adaptable foot comforting device for footwear, comprising an elliptical shaped plate 101 developed to be attached underneath sole of a user’s shoe, ultrasonic sensor for determining dimensions of the user’s shoe sole, drawer arrangement 102 to extend/retract for adapting as per the determined dimensions, motorized hinges 103 to tilt portions of the plate 101 for adapting as per dimensions of the user’s shoe sole, motorized clamping units 104 to acquire a grip on the user’s shoe for engaging the plate 101 underneath the user’s shoe sole, inflatable layer 105 gets inflated for providing comfort to the user’s foot while walking on the surface, friction sensor for monitoring friction level of the surface, extendable pins 201 to extend for increasing friction for the user to walk comfortably on the surface, plurality of LEDs 106 for providing visibility to the user while walking on the surface.
