MUMBAI, India, June 30 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202421101151 A) filed by Kanad Innovations Private Limited on December 20, 2024, for Adaptive Brush Speed Control System For Robotic Vacuum Cleaners.

Inventor includes Priyanka S Sangale.

The application for the patent was published on June 26, 2026, under issue no. 26/2026.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a robotic vacuum cleaner (100) configured for efficient debris collection and adaptable cleaning. The robotic vacuum cleaner (100) may comprise a housing, a cleaning assembly including a pair of counter-rotating brushes (102) operable at variable speeds, a vacuum inlet (103) positioned between the brushes, and a debris separation chamber fluidly connected to the vacuum inlet (103). A sensing system (104) may be provided proximate to the cleaning zone, comprising a motion detection unit (106) for detecting travel direction and speed, a debris detection unit (108) for generating debris characteristic data, and a surface detection unit (110) for identifying floor surface types. A control system (200) may process data from the sensing system (104) using a control algorithm (206) and independently adjust brush speeds via speed control units (208-L, 208-R), creating convergent debris flow patterns toward the vacuum inlet (103).
