MUMBAI, India, Aug. 10 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641089529 A) filed by Vignan'S Nirula Institute Of Technology And Science For Women on July 23, 2026, for Adaptive Cyber Deception Network Using Artificial Intelligence.

Abstract: Artificial Intelligence (AI) has completely transformed the discipline of cybersecurity by detecting and mitigating cyber-attacks through intelligent processing of large volumes of network/system data. The AI-based cybersecurity system proposed here detects any form of threat by making use of the information extracted from network traffic, system log files, authentication log files, firewall events, and intrusion detection log files. This system uses machine learning and behaviour analysis to analyse the nature of the malicious behaviour and then acts proactively to mitigate the threat by using deceptive mechanisms such as honey pots, decoy servers, decoy databases, decoy credentials, and virtual network resources. In other words, it enhances the security of the users, enterprises, IoT devices, and cloud computing. Since it is cloud-based, it supports cyber security management, real-time threat detection, efficient resource utilization, and updates the models with new cyber threats. As a result, the system can detect and defeat the threats including malware, ransomware, phishing, insider threats, and advanced persistent threats (APT). Furthermore, it offers security alerts, events reporting, and mitigation recommendations for dealing with cyber incidents. Experimental results show that the proposed system has high accuracy in threat detection and attack mitigation, as well as effective attacker deception.
