The adaptive engine mount (100) comprises a top mounting bracket (105), a base mounting bracket (110), a protective outer housing (115), lattice cells (135) filled with magnetorheological fluid (140), and electromagnetic coils (145) configured to apply a magnetic field (220). A vibration sensor (225) senses vibration input (205) or reduced vibration output (250), and a control unit (230) generates a current control signal (235) for coil actuation (240). Variation of the magnetic field (220) changes the magnetorheological fluid (140) between a low-viscosity state (210) and a high-viscosity state (215), thereby producing an adaptive stiffness and damping response (245) for reducing vibration transmission through the adaptive engine mount (100).
