MUMBAI, India, July 13 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641077746 A) filed by Sr University on June 24, 2026, for Adaptive Flow-Reversal Drainage System For Autonomous Clog Detection And Removal.

Inventors include Dr. Akella Pathanjali Sastri; and Dr. Sarath Chandra Veerla.

The application for the patent was published on July 10, 2026, under issue no. 28/2026.

Abstract: 9.Abstract of the Invention: The present invention relates to an adaptive drainage system (100) for autonomous defection and removal of blockages in drainage pipelines. The system comprises a sensor rhodule (110) configured to monitor fluid parameters including flow rate, pressure, and water level; a control unit (120) operatively coupled to the sensor module; an Al-based prediction module (130) configured to detect and predict clog formation based oil real-time and historical data; and a flow control mechanism (140) comprising one or more valves configured to alter fluid flow characteristics. . Upon detection or prediction of a clog, the control unit (120) actuates the flow control mechanism (140) to selectively reverse, restrict, or pixlse fluid flow within the pipeline, thereby dislodging and flushing accumulated debris. The system operates without mechanical cleaning components and enables real-time, predictive, and autonomous drainage maintenance.: ' The invention provides improved reliability, reduced maintenance, and enhanced efficiency in drainage systems and is applicable to municipal, industrial, and smart infrastructure environments.-ti
