Abstract: With the rapid advancement of compact electronic devices, effective thermal management has become a critical challenge due to increased processing power and limited internal cooling space. Conventional cooling methods such as fans and static heat sinks add bulk, consume power, and offer limited adaptability under varying workloads. This project presents an Adaptive Heat-Responsive Screen Deployment system, an intelligent thermal management solution that integrates-a fold-out secondary display stacked behind the primary screen. The proposed system employs thermal sensors positioned near high-heat-generating components such as the CPU and GPU to continuously monitor internal temperature levels. When the temperature exceeds a predefined safe threshold, the system automatically deploys the secondary display from behind the main display using a temperature-responsive actuation mechanism. The deployed screen increases the exposed surface area and utilizes thermally conductive layers to transfer and dissipate heat efficiently into the surrounding environment through passive cooling. Once the device temperature returns to normal operating levels, the secondary display retracts automatically, maintaining the compact form factor of the device during low thermal load conditions. By combining display functionality with adaptive thermal control, the proposed design reduces reliance on active cooling components, minimizes power consumption, and enhances overall device performance and longevity. This approach offers a novel, energy- efficient, and scalable solution for next-generation laptops, tablets, and portable electronic devices.
